Sales Team 

Join the Scanstrut Sales Team.

We are looking for a candidate who will be expected to:

  • Contact and meet with owner / director level, and senior managerial professionals
  • Generate new business for our products, within a relatively short sales cycle
  • Have skills in closing and cold-calling to generate own leads
  • Will be comfortable working alone when selling, although in an office environment
  • Will also be expected to make face-to-face calls

The location would be in our main office - Totnes, Devon.

The position will be managed, although the candidate will be expected to be a self-starter with initiative.

Senior Designer

A challenging, exciting and crucial role within our design team. Responsibilities will range from concept generation through to prototyping and testing, design for manufacture and final production for our core range of products and also our consultancy clients.

Preferably with a good formal engineering qualification (preferably a degree in Product or Engineering Design) and 7+ years professional experience, our ideal candidate will have been involved in designing a wide range of consumer products, possibly with a background in agency, freelance or consultancy and have experience of leading the design process from concept through to production manufacture. 

You will be creative and challenging, able to investigate and interpret the needs of our customers, develop solutions through prototyping, model making and sketching and produce robust 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings (Solidworks).

A solid understanding of engineering principles and robust design tools is essential and a broad knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes would be a definite advantage.

  

Design Engineer

An excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented designer, the responsibilities of this role include design support for major team projects and also delivery of concept through to manufacture for individual projects.

The ideal candidate will have a good formal engineering qualification (preferably a degree in Product or Engineering Design) and 2+ years’ experience working within the design team of a prestigious product-led company. You will be expected to have the ability to develop ideas through prototyping, model making and testing as well as through sketches and 3D CAD (Solidworks) . A solid understanding of engineering principles and materials would be an advantage.
