ISO 9001:2015 certification

Scanstrut is pleased to announce that it has been awarded
ISO 9001:2015 certification. 

This internationally recognized standard benchmarks the company’s performance against a rigorous set of expectations. In achieving these standards, Scanstrut can reinforce further its commitment to delivering high-performance products for the toughest of marine, off-road and industrial environments to a truly global network of OEMs, distribution partners and end customers.  

ISO9001 is one of the most rigorous and well-regarded standards in the world and is based on several quality management principles including; a strong customer focus, a highly developed process approach and continual employee and company improvement. In particular, the new 2015 edition of ISO9001 focuses on all these elements but with an added emphasis on opportunities for improvement and leadership engagement throughout the team.

All those involved in Scanstrut from suppliers to customers can rely upon high-quality processes and repeatable, consistent standards throughout the whole business.

It took over 9 months of hard work from the whole team to review, plan and implement these new standards. Every department was involved from design, procurement, operations, QC, sales and marketing. A genuine team effort! 

Scanstrut CEO Tom Reed explains why this has been an important step for the company and its future “Scanstrut has always had a focus on continual improvement and many of the ISO processes were already in use. However, being awarded ISO9001:2015 is another significant step in our company's evolution and is a highly respected, external assessment of the quality of our business management systems. This award ensures that all those who interact with Scanstrut across all our activities can rely on peak performance at all times.” 

Reed also added, “I’d like to thank all our team for their engagement in this highly detailed project, led brilliantly by our General Manager Iain Cook, and delivered so successfully despite the additional demands of unprecedented company growth this year."
