Product Details

The charger's innovative three-coil design is a game-changer for outdoor waterproof charging. Three overlapping charging coils maximize performance, ensuring reliable charging from various phone placements. The intelligent electronics ensure optimal charging by selecting the best coil based on the phone's location.

The built-in heat management system also adjusts charging speed based on ambient and phone temperature. This charger is tailored for those seeking uninterrupted charging during outdoor adventures, offering a reliable and efficient solution for powering devices on the go.

Intelligent charging:
Driving over rough terrain? No problem, the intelligent charging features are designed to mirror the movement of your phone, to ensure a constant charge, no matter the adventure or the placement of the phone on the charger.

Three-coil system:
With a three-coil system that overlaps, there is NO DEAD SPACE, resulting in the most efficient & most amount of power regardless of the phone's position.

Hot climates:
No problem. With a larger cavity and the electronics designed for thermal management by efficiently dissipating heat, this charger will perform better than other chargers in 30°C (86°F). It will also monitor your phone's heat, adjusting the power output to ensure it does not overheat, helping prolong the health of your phone!

LED light system:
The rear visible LED on the back of the charger acts as a rear installation light, a visible check to ensure the charger is powered and ready to charge.

Red light shows: Charger is in standby mode.
White light shows: Phone is charging.

Installation:
The sub can be installed in two different methods. For an ultra-clean look, you can install the Sub in a recess of your chosen counter and apply a sea deck over the top to show placement and for added grip to hold your phone. Or, if you want to show off the Scanstrut Aesthetic for a minimal, block colour look. You can install the Sub on top of a counter; however, this does not have any grip to hold your phone in place.

SCA Testing

The testing standard at Scanstrut is encapsulated by the acronym SCA, which stands for Safe, Certified, and Approved. With over 35 years of experience and expertise in designing products for outdoor use, Scanstrut design products to be able to thrive in the harshest of outdoor environments.

Before any product is released, it must pass through the rigorous testing program which involves assessments in electrical, mechanical, U.V., corrosion, thermal, and waterproof categories. To ensure the highest level of accuracy, testing is conducted both internally and by independent ISO accredited test houses.

This commitment to quality has earned Scanstrut the approval of renowned names such as Mercury Marine, Grady White Boats, Boston Whaler, Winnebago, Airstream and many more. To learn more about the SCA testing program and certifications, get in touch.

The world’s No.1 wireless charging standard, this ensures our chargers are built to an extreme level of safety and ensures compatibility of all phones.

IP Test

Water and dust protection under test laboratory conditions to international IP standards. We test between IPX4 (waterjet) and IP68 (submersion).

Accelerated UV Material Test

We accelerate the effects of UV exposure to replicate our products usage in extreme tropical climates. We do this to ensure parts do not become brittle, discolour or fail over time.

Cable Bend Test

Electrical products are bolted into a specially designed automated jig to mechanically bend the cable -45° to +45° for 3000 cycles. This ensures cables will not fail even after prolonged use.

Thermal Chamber Test

Laboratory chamber running from -40°C (-40°F) to +85°C (185°F) and back to -40°C (-40°F) for 120 cycles, this accelerates material ageing to simulate real world environment.

Cable Twist Test

Electrical products are bolted into a specially designed automated jig to mechanically twist the cable -45° to +45° for 3000 cycles. This ensures cables will not fail even after prolonged use.

Temperature Chamber Test

Product placed in a laboratory chamber at high temperatures to ensure our products continue to perform as designed.

Corrosion Test

100-hours of a special formula salt spray that simulates accelerated marine environmental effects on the product.

On Water Charge Test

Using real life on water temperature data to ensure devices will continue to charge at an acceptable speed in extreme cold and hot temperatures.

On Water Testing Global

Similar to SCA standard on water testing, however we select locations and vessels for more varied and challenging environmental conditions.

FEA Analysis

Finite Element Analysis, simulates the behaviour of the design in virtual conditions to allow us to optimise the design before prototyping and physical testing.

C Tick

An identification trademark registered to the ACMA indicates that the equipment complies with the relevant EMC standard.

CE / UKCA

Signifies that our products have been assessed to meet high safety, health, and environmental protection requirements.

ECE R10

The global automotive standard recognised by RV and Marine OEMs to ensure electrical devices are suitable to use in automotive builds.

FCC

A legal requirement to sell any communication device (RF) in the United States of America.

Humidity Chamber Test

Similar to our brutal SCA Thermal Chamber Test, but we’ve added humidity to make it even more punishing.

Material Test

Positive Material Identification (PMI) ensures consistent quality of 316 Stainless Steel and Aluminium products. This controls strength and environmental performance.
